The Afteroom Counter, Cafe and Bar Table is yet a supplement to the Afteroom Chair, constituting the same concept – a tribute to Bauhaus and functionalism; reducing the amount of material to a minimum and enhancing the aesthetic appearance to a maximum.
Afteroom
Afteroom are on mission to create products that will become more treasured as the years pass. “We want to create design you can grow old with,” explain designers Hung-Ming Chen and Chen-Yen Wei, adding: “Simplicity and honesty are at the heart our design philosophy.” Hailing from Taiwan, they were lured to Stockholm by an obsession with Scandinavian design. In 2013, they designed Menu’s first ever chair, the Afteroom Chair (one of our most popular products).
Menu’s philosophy is simple. We want to make the world better, less complicated, a little bit nicer to wake up to. Collaborating with super-talented designers, we make objects to be treasured now… and forever.
